Our Llamas

Ices was pregnant for 13 months
and the baby when born is called a Circa.

The Llamas are out with the horses 24/7 which makes them very 
Protective of the little minis.Above is a pic of Tex the man!!!

Average Length: 4 to 7 feet
Average Weight: 160 to 450
Outer Appearance: wool
Common Colours: Black,Brown,White,Red,Gray,Beige
Average Life Span: 11 or more years

Attention Needed: regular worming/yearly vaccinations
Food: Grass Hay,Leaves,free chose of Minerals. Llama
need Pellets during last stages of pregnancy and lactation.

Llamas are a natives of South American. Llamas Have been 
used for their luxurious wool and also used for 
farm chores and been successfully domesticated.  Known
for their sure footing and strength , Llamas have
been long revered as excellent Pack animals whose
two -toed ,soft -Padded feet that do not damage the
environment.       

Llamas are extremely inexpensive to maintain. Llamas
need some room to roam and adequate. Shelter for colder
Hotter, or wetter days,but typically cost less to feed
than dogs because of their efficient three chamber 
stomachs and low requirement.  Born Grazers, Llamas 
typically nibble on trees and a variety of plants,
shrubs , vegetation and fruits well as weeds.

Llamas are known to be very intelligent animals. They
are easily trained and pick up repetive tasks easily.

Since Llamas are part of the camel family they do spit
as a way of communicating with other animals in the herd, 
humans are only targeted when Llamas are scared feel 
threatened or have been mistreated. I have not been spit
on by my Llamas . They are so calming and I love the soft 
humming noice they make.
